Daniel Silhavy is the lead developer of the dash.js project and the current coordinator of the 5G-MAG Reference Tools. He specializes in adaptive bitrate (ABR) streaming, focusing on MPEG-DASH, DRM, 5G media streaming, and video encoding. Actively contributing to standardization work in DASH-IF and CTA-WAVE, Daniel also lectures at the Technical University of Berlin, supervising Bachelor and Master theses. His expertise spans media streaming, related specifications (ISO, 3GPP, DVB, DASH-IF), C++ programming, and web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, node.js, MSE, and EME.
