From optimizing for power and density to benchmarking AV1, HEVC, and H.264 across real-world broadcast scenarios, Dennis walks us through the technical challenges, performance gains, and why ASICs are becoming essential for scalable, cost-efficient video delivery. Topics covered: – CPU vs. GPU vs. VPU performance tradeoffs – AV1, HEVC, H.264 encoding quality at scale – How Cires21 tested NETINT Codensity G5 – Cloud-agnostic deployment and hybrid workflows – VMAF scores, density benchmarks, and lab-tested findings Hosted by[ Mark Donnigan](https://www.linkedin.com/in/markdonnigan/), [NETINT Technologies](https://netint.com/) [GET ACCESS](https://voicesofvideo.netint.com/cires21-transition-to-asics#webinar-registration) ![The Real-World Impact of VPUs: Cires21's Transition to ASICs - Voices of Video with Dennis Mungai from Cires21, hosted by Mark Donnigan and produced by Anita Flejter from NETINT.](https://voicesofvideo.netint.com/hs-fs/hubfs/AF-Voices%20of%20Video%20LP/Voices%20of%20Video%20-%20Landing%20Page/VOV%2043-Cires%2021%20-%20Dennis%20Mungai%20-%20watch%20on%20demand.jpg?width=1920&height=1080&name=VOV%2043-Cires%2021%20-%20Dennis%20Mungai%20-%20watch%20on%20demand.jpg "The Real-World Impact of VPUs: Cires21's Transition to ASICs - Voices of Video with Dennis Mungai from Cires21, hosted by Mark Donnigan and produced by Anita Flejter from NETINT.")   --- ![websights](https://ws.zoominfo.com/pixel/6345763f172c4c039c693f51) ![](https://px.ads.linkedin.com/collect/?pid=2923028&fmt=gif)
